Putting on a great BBQ party can seem like a daunting task if you've never done it. If you want to learn the ropes, we think the best way is to work shoulder-to-shoulder with us pro’s as we help you and your teammates prepare for your own party. In the process, we will also teach you the details how to plan and conduct your own BBQ events – for family, organizations, or your favorite charity.
Bring a second set of clothes for the party at the end of the day because you and your teammates will be getting smokey learning and cooking on many different types and sizes of smokers throughout the day – including a cinder-block pit for cooking a whole hog.
You can invite to up to five of your friends and family to the banquet.

- Build a cinder-block pit
- Take a turn at maintaining the pit fire
- Prep and cook a whole hog
- Prep and cook a whole pork shoulder
- Take turns starting, cooking, and shutting down several different kinds and sizes of smokers.
- Cook a variety of specialty items (salmon, cheese, bacon, etc.)
- Prep and cook side items (beans, salad, Mac&Cheese)
- Make beverages (punch, sangria, etc.)
Student Requirement:
- Help build a cinder-block pit
- Take turns monitoring cinder-block pit
- Take turns operating smokers
- Setup serving tables and serving line
- Prepare, cook and serve food and beverages
- Help with banquet set-up/clean-up
