It's one of the dream jobs of many comedians: working in a real writers' room on the staff of a hit TV sitcom. But how do you get that job? What is it like? And most importantly... can I really do it? In this intense six-week course, students will begin to craft their very own sitcom script in a classroom experience designed to mimic working in an actual TV writers' room.
Through a combination of lectures, examples, worksheets and exercises - as well as copious amounts of actual writing! - this course will take students through the process of development, and using their own original characters and ideas, show them how to apply proper technique and structure that will result in a finished professional sitcom pilot script.
That's right... at the end of this six-week course (with plenty of your own hard work and creativity, naturally!), you will leave this class with an ACTUAL SCRIPT IN HAND, written entirely by you! Seating for this unique class is very limited; don't miss out!
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
