Class Description

Description

What you'll learn in this communications course:

This program will help you influence outcomes and create cooperation through diplomatic and tactful communication. You’ll realize that standing up for yourself, when done effectively, doesn’t offend others; rather it strengthens your relationships and enables positive results through effective communication. Diplomatic communication skills not only improve your professional image; they just make people like you!

What You'll Learn:

Develop flexibility in your communication style and assess the intent of your messages against the outcomes. Learn to control your “hot buttons” and respond instead of reacting, maintain composure when criticized. Avoid conflict by staying calm and poised under pressure.

Why you want to learn it

You'll gain dexterity and grace in dealing with new or trying situations. You’ll recognize how you come across to others, learn to speak honestly and confidently, manage your emotions, give and receive criticism constructively, and present yourself as strong – but not intimidating. Most importantly, you’ll discover how to communicate in a manner that does not offend or create conflict.

How it will help you

This course sheds new light on your communication strengths and weaknesses. You’ll learn to disagree in an agreeable manner. Addressing difficult situations assertively and diplomatically, builds your image as a strong, fair-minded, leader.

This class was fantastic! Jacqualin, our teacher brought this material to life. She was thorough, completely attentive, engaging and cared about every one of her students to ensure each student learnt every piece from this course. I thoroughly enjoyed this class and Jacqualine's teaching, and am a better person for having participated.

The instructor was fabulous! The materials could be a little more engaging (i.e. in color). I would recommend this course to others in my company.
