The experience was very informative. Looking forward to taking more classes.

Really good instructors, very safety conscience, good fun. I have a lovely cube now. Excellent intro adventure into how to weld and what is welding. Enough beginner welds to improve as one worked. I would like to spend some time learning wire speed, voltage, and how it corresponds to gauge of the steel, but I suppose this would be beyond a beginner. So this left me wanting more advanced classes.
Thank you for the time the instructor and assistant took!

Paul was a fantastic instructor. Patient and passionate about what he does, he displayed a wealth of knowledge tying in all kinds of information. My friends and I had a great time and it all flew by so fast. I'd highly recommend this class. Just fair warning that long grinding times definitely leaves some temporary soreness and loss of nerve sensitivity in your fingers.

Excellent class; instructor was knowledgeable and very patient. He worked with each of us to improve our skills.

This was an informative and enjoyable intro to metalworking class. The instructor and assistant were very knowledgeable, gave clear instructions and were great teachers. My only constructive feedback would be to provide students with some background reading material or Youtube videos ahead of class (I think this would be helpful for someone like me who has zero background knowledge) and have the opportunity to practice tacking and welding a bit before trying it on the actual cube. Overall, I had a very positive experience and look forward to trying the TIG welding class next.

This class was a great introduction to MIG welding, in a relaxed atmosphere. Instructor was great as well.

My son and his friend took the welding merit badge course at the Metal Shop Fantasy Camp. What a great experience! The instructor, Mr. Scott Behr, could not have been more professional or kinder to the boys. His clear and concise teaching skills, and obvious expertise in and passion for welding, made the learning fun and pragmatic. He was patient, assuring, corrective and complimentary, all while ensuring safety. An excellent teacher!
To coursehorse, your customer service is stellar.

Jeremiah was a great instructor and gave detailed direction. Had a blast and already signed up for the Finishing class. Michelle was also great - loved it!
-
It was good informative kind of wish we welded more than a hook. However with the time restrictions I get it, and for the cost not a bad buy.

The teacher was enthusiastic and patient. Gave us just enough space to fail a bit and learn. By the end of the class i really felt like I had a handle on MIG welding.

-
Great class. The instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. I learned a lot and will be back for the next class!

-
The class is exactly what I expected and more. The instructors were very vfiendky and encouraging each step of the way. At the end we all got to take home a cool steel cube we created.
-
The instructor was thorough and intuitive and really worked with each of us taking the class. Such a pleasure! Great start to an interesting trade.
-
Great class- very knowledgeable teacher and good 1 on 1 help. The project was perfect.
Thanks

The class was great. The instructor was even better. There was only one thing I would have liked to do. I would have liked to see how to set up the welder before we start welding.
-
This was a refresher for me nonetheless it was a great introduction for anyone looking to give it a try.
The equipment was in good shape.
Most importantly Jeremiah was an excellent instructor; thorough, patient, helpful and an all round nice guy.
I highly recommend this.

Great class! I learned a lot and I love that we started working right away!

Every thing was excellent only that too many people in the class it should be less than 4 people and the time is a little bet long it should be around two hours
-
Very satisfied with the course because only two in the class I received a lot of information
-
The instructor Jeremiah (hope i spelled that right) was awesome as was Matt (the TA). Class was a lot of fun and learned a lot.

Angel is very knowledgeable and has a great passion for welding which made the class enjoyable and fascinating. He was very hands on and was quick to anwer any questions or correct any troubles I had with the material. I would definitely like to continue the next step.
-
Great intro class and great instructor. Did actual welding and made a small hanger.
-
Alex was a great instructor, got us working pretty quickly. We were able to do quite a bit in an hour
-
Great class to learn . Teacher take time to explain and answer any questions you have. Thank again
Jeremiah for this great class. I really enjoyed it and I will still practice to get better.
-
Angel Perez was very patient and truly knowledgeable. He was able to provide individual attention throughout the many phases of welding. We all got into what we were doing and looked to help each other. This class was truly educational and fun. I had a great time and will return for the Tig class.

Fabulous class!!!

Under the circumstances the instructor did a great job. The reason for the middling review was owing more to the facility. The staff working in the shop during the class meant that the available work space was reduced considerable and there was a moments of dodging out of people's way. The shop was also quite dirty. In terms of getting that was not a problem since you expect a bit of that when working with metal. The issue is that for beginners with little or no experience working in a shop it sets the norm for how a shop should be and that is bad if pursue the craft further. The limited amount of equipment relative to the class size was also an issue and meant that people spent a fair bit of time waiting around to do what they need to do. Finally, working with metal in a shop on a warm day makes you thirsty and there was no fountain, vending machine or other source of water apart from cupping you hands under the bathroom sink. It wasn't a major issue as we eventually got some bottles of water from the deli a few block away but it would have been a good thing to know in advance.
On the whole the course was helpful and informative but could be greatly benefited by better plan, running a cleaner shop and thinking about class size relative to resources.

The instructor Petter was excellent, I would like to have more time to learn how to finish and polish the welding.

Small class size was perfect to allow for individual instruction

Tons of fun! We had a group of 6 and 2 instructors both of whom
-
Great class. I give it 4.5/5. Half point off only because we didn't get to grind our welds (which was a stated part of the curriculum), because we ran out of time, due to reasons that were not too clear to me. Otherwise great class, and will go back for the finishing class as soon as I can.
-
-
Fun class. We had 4 people in the class which gave the instructor some time to spend with all of us and some room to spread out our things. I would suggest that the class be limited to this size. I understand it can be as much as 8 and I would have been unhappy with that dynamic.

Intro to welding has a lot of potential to be a fun and informative class but about half the class was taken up with prep work (welding jackets, waivers, setup of welding machines, etc.) most of which ought to have been done before we arrived. The instructor just didn't seem prepared. The class ended with a hard sell of the longer 4-hour followup classes.

Great class, very knowledgeable staff , covering all bases. Expect a physically challenging 4 hours of solid work, no games.

Great class and great instructor. Overall great.

Michelle is great!
-
Fun and very hands-on class that does a great job of teaching you metalworking and MIG welding basics without spending too much time on theory.
That being said, the instructors are more than happy to answer metalworking-related questions.
If you're someone (like me) who doesn't just want to learn how to do something, but also wants to understand the underlying processes, I recommend watching some YouTube videos and reading though some How-To's before or after the course.
All in all highly recommended!

Great class. Michelle's was a great instructor. Real fun and learned the basics, got what I wanted. I'll be going back for TIG class.

Great class and I learned a lot and was able to make the cube (though it came out more on the abstract side). I accomplished this even though I essentially never even picked up a power tool before. The place was also sensible and accommodating. The original class was smartly cancelled due to the heat dome, and they were able to accomodate my request to be put into the next weekend's class. I've already signed up for the second class to take my cube to the next level.

This is a brilliant class and a great way to learn welding. The instructors are very friendly, knew every aspect of welding and presented the lesson in a very clear and concise way. I definitely plan to go back.
-
This was such an amazing class. Didn't know if this was going to be easy to get as I had no experience doing work like this. The teachers were great and very patient. You just get it.
I couldn't believe I had an actual cube at the end that didn't look silly. I was actually proud of my output.
I ready for the next class.

Really fun class. Michelle and O never treated me like I was an idiot, which is great as I can occasionally be a bonehead when learning new things. Totally hands on, and I got to ask a ton of questions.

Great class!
Scott did a great job.
Nice and friendly. Very safe!
Would highly recommend it!
-
Great Class. Very nice and patient instructors. It was a tough course, but it was well worth it, since we all learned quite a bit on a subject we had no knowledge of. So happy to have made a metal cube.......almost done.
I would definitely recommend this class to friends.
-
The welding class was excellent. We had Michelle as our instructor and she was incredibly detailed and patient. Welding can be a difficult task but she made it approachable and was very understanding of my first time mistakes. I enjoyed learning something new and also useful!
-
Instructors knowledgeable, very patient wonderful experience. Can't wait for finishing class

I loved the course! Five stars. It was hands on, to the point, and informative. Not to mention safe and the instructors were personable and encouraging. I signed up for the next two levels of classes on the spot and I think welding may become a personal hobby of mine going forward!

My son in law signed us up for the class for both a joint experience and learning an additional skill.
Instruction was thorough, hands on training that had you do every step beginning to end. We had a few in the class that were learning job skills, but half the class were furthering their hobby and entertainment skills.
I would recommend this class to any one wanting a good experience and adding life skills.

Very helpful and very knowledgeable teachers is a well lit and perfect atmosphere. Very hands off once preliminary instructions given, unless you want them to help you further. You really get the feeling of accomplishment when learning this way, it doesn't feel like they "did all the work."
