Create a thriving, self-sustaining miniature ecosystem by building your own closed terrarium in this beginner-friendly workshop held in San Francisco's Financial District — perfect for all skill levels with no experience required, just curiosity, creativity, and a love for living things. You'll work with a glass terrarium bottle and a curated selection of premium materials including multiple moss varieties, layered soils, activated carbon, gravel, pebbles, and decorations to assemble a tiny landscape entirely your own.
Your instructor walks you through every step of the process — from layering your base to planting and styling — while sharing expert tips on how to care for your closed ecosystem so it thrives, sometimes for years. Private group workshops and team events can also arrange sessions at your preferred offsite location — just reach out when booking to discuss details. All tools and materials are included — just show up ready to build. By the end of the session you'll walk away with a personalized, living terrarium that's entirely handcrafted by you — ready to display, gift, or keep as a lasting reminder of a great experience in the heart of San Francisco.
