What you'll learn in this kids drawing class:
This camp teaches character design from the ground up: starting with fundamentals like anatomy, gesture, and shape design. Students will learn to create original characters from scratch.
Bring your sketchbooks or drawing tablets, instruction will be provided for both digital and traditional media!
High-quality art materials provided.
Detailed Schedule
Character Design:
DAY 1. Realistic Head Drawing
The creative approach for drawing the head and face honest to realistic proportions Using a reference proper techniques for head drawing Steps for successful drawing Relying on simple shapes How to use a pencil How to draw individual parts of the head that work in harmony with one another. The relationship each part of the face has with the other DAY 2. Stylized head drawing
Use of simple shapes to project more complicated concepts.
Stylized proportions and their relationship to realistic proportions
DAY 3. Realistic human anatomy (male and female)
Proportions in traditional human drawing
Introduction to basic male and female anatomy
Creating bodies in motions
Gesture drawing
DAY 4. Stylized human anatomy
Use of simple shapes to create characters
The limitations of stylized anatomy
Playing with proportions to create new styles
DAY 5. Final project
Creating your own character/ discovering your style

We do not provide refunds for ongoing classes tuition, courses or camps payments.
- However, full credit towards future booking or transfer to another camp/course will be offered for any cancellations made up to 2 business days before the camp or course starts.
- Ongoing classes can be canceled with a 31 business days prior notice.
You can make up a missed class on another day when we offer the same age/skill group class. The make-up class should be arranged in advance, no drop-ins. Limit 2 make-up classes per month. Make-up classes are subject to the availability of space in a similar class. We reserve the right not to provide make-up classes or terminate the class enrollment for repeating truancy.
