Kids, ages 7 to 11, are invited to join us for a special night out sewing and cooking! You’ll spend half the class preparing a delicious Italian-inspired meal with a Chopping Block chef, and the other half of the class working with fashion designer, Elena Victoria, sewing your very own apron using your selected decorative trim. During class, students will learn the basics of using a sewing machine to design and create an apron that suits their style while working with a real fashion designer. Students do not need any sewing or cooking experience to participate in this class, and all machinery and materials will be provided.
Half of the class will cook in two groups of five kids while the remaining students work individually on their aprons. The groups will then switch, and everyone will sit down at the end of class and enjoy the meal together.
Elena Victoria is a local fashion designer who has gone on to find her true passion in teaching youth how to design and sew their own clothing & jewelry through her program, EV Fine Arts. Unleash your child’s creativity with this fun night that combines fashion and cooking!
