What you'll learn in this casting class:
During the final course in our Resin Jewelry Series, you will gain the skills and knowledge to create the most amazing and unique resin jewelry unlike any other resin jewelry out there.
You will learn how to make your own silicone molds and how to use vacuum chambers and pressure casting to make guaranteed crystal clear, bubble free jewels!
Prerequisites:
Intermediate Resin Jewelry or equivalent experience
What you will make in this class:
Your own resin jewelry mold using clear RTV silicone.A 'gang' mold for duplicating a single jewelry mold into a multi cavity mold for larger scale production of jewelsA multi-part mold for casting 360 degree molded jewels (i.e. jewels with no 'back' where all surfaces are molded and detailed)
What you will learn:
You will need to purchase the Advanced Resin Jewelry Kit which includes all the mold making and casting supplies you will need for this class
What you will need to bring with you:
Several small items for duplicating and making into jewelry
Recommended items to bring with you:
You will learn how to make your own silicone molds and how to use vacuum chambers and pressure casting to make guaranteed crystal clear, bubble free jewels!

- About the most common types of mold-making materials including the various: silicone rubbers, urethane rubbers, Plasters, and Gypsums
- About the different types of molds and the pros and cons of each.
- Advanced mold-making techniques.
- How to use a pressure pot to make crystal clear, 100% bubble free pressure-cast resin jewels and molds with perfect surface detail
- How to use a vacuum chamber to de-gas (remove the bubbles from) your mixed resin or silicone
- How to manage larger scale production of resin jewels for selling on line or at fairs and shows to bring your costs down and make your enterprise much more profitable
You will need to purchase the Advanced Resin Jewelry Kit which includes all the mold making and casting supplies you will need for this class
What you will need to bring with you:
Several small items for duplicating and making into jewelry
Recommended items to bring with you:
- Clothes you don't mind getting dirty
- A lunch or snack (there will be a 30 min break half way through the class)
Refund Policy
If you cannot attend a course as planned, you may either receive a refund, transfer to another class, or receive a credit voucher applicable to future classes.
- Requests for withdrawal from a class must be submitted via email to [email protected] at least 6 business days prior to the start date of the class. A service charge of $10 will be withheld for refunds, but there will be no service charge for transfers or credits.
- Requests for withdrawals from a class or workshop less than 6 business days before the first day of class will incur an additional $15 service charge.
- Credits may be applied toward the cost of any future class or workshop within the next two years from date of issue.
The school reserves the right to change class locations, schedules and instructors, as required.
In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
