Holiday Pies (Brooklyn)

Feeling festive this Fall season? Bored with the same old pies? We are shaking things up this Holiday with seasonal surprises and handmade crusts that are sure to impress your guests and become your new holiday favorites!

In this seasonal class, our experienced Pastry Chef Instructor will guide you step-by-step through the technical processes of perfecting the classic pies with its flaky crust and luscious fillings featuring the flavours of the season! Learn the skilled processes of balancing ingredients, pie-dough making, proofing and blind-baking. Each guest will create one mini chocolate bourbon pecan pie and one mini caramel cranberry apple crumb. We will then work together to make a hazelnut raspberry linzer tart. Our Pastry Chef Instructor will also enlighten you on other filling options that will translate to endless possibilities of pie creations! Once you have created your delicious masterpieces, you will then plate, decorate and devour your creations with your new found foodie friends. You will also have the opportunity to take your creations home!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing). You will work with other students in groups of two to four.
