What can we learn from UX design to make video games more usable, and therefore more fun? Catt Small, a UX Designer and game maker, will share ways to incorporate UX design techniques into the game-making process.
Design has become a major differentiator — see Dots and Monument Valley — because it leads to better user retention and more sales. Great visual design can’t gloss over a poorly-designed interaction. This class will cover examples of poor usability in games, ways that you can solve UX design problems in games, and resources for immediately improving usability in your game.
