In today’s world, project managers face the twin challenges of rapidly changing technology and a workforce that is becoming more contract-based by the day. This course navigates timely ins and outs of project planning and project management in 2017. We will review the fundamentals of how to build a great team and to balance the three (3) elements of every project: scope (or simply size), budget and schedule.

You will learn tools and best practices to anticipate risk, handle different needs and resources, and powerfully communicate with everyone involved. Through hands-on exercises, you will simulate the full lifecycle of a project. As a takeaway, you will finish the course with a basic project plan for your own project.

Finally, we will review the latest trends in project management: the Agile movement and the overlapping roles of a digital project manager & a digital producer.
