Leading through Influence

In today’s collaborative business environment, leadership is often based more on influence than authority. In this workshop, participants will discover how their thinking and behavioral style impacts their ability to influence others; learn communication strategies to maximize their influence; and prepare to apply learning on the job.

Curriculum

Leading through Influence combines an individual assessment, interactive lectures, and team-based activities to create a dynamic learning experience.

• Before the session, participants complete the Emergenetics Profile, which reveals thinking and behavioral preferences. A Certified Emergenetics Associate interprets the results.
• Then, the instructor outlines a framework for influencing others based on thinking and behavioral preferences and describes specific strategies and tools. 
• Finally, participants apply the learning throughout the day in a series of team-based activities. They also create an action plan to apply the learning to a specific situation on the job.

Who should attend

Leading through Influence is open to professionals of all levels who need to influence others at work. The course is especially relevant for emerging leaders who work in collaborative, team-based environments. The framework and tools can be applied in a variety of situations, including pitching a new project, leading a team, or closing a sale.
