You’ve got your story. You’ve got your characters. You’ve got the world of your show. Now all you have to is WRITE IT.
Writing for TV II will guide you through the process of writing a TV pilot. It will help you navigate the dauntingly specific challenges of the form (the classic guideline requires each pilot to hit 15 specific story beats) while never losing sight of what is thrilling and unique about it. Writing for TV II will be a combination of skills class and writing workshop, learning to use the demands TV writing not to frustrate your creativity, but to help it flourish.
Prerequisite: Writing for TV II requires either completion of Writing for TV I or consultation with the teacher.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

All payments are non-refundable (unless TBG cancels a class).
Full payment or a deposit of 50% is required in advance in order to secure your spot in a class. The remaining balance is due before the first day of class; otherwise, the credit card on file while automatically be charged the balance on the morning of the first day of class.
Commitment is for the duration of the session (the full 6, 8, 10, or 11 weeks of class). THERE ARE NO CREDITS OR REFUNDS FOR MISSED CLASSES. If you discontinue any class before the ending date of the session, you forfeit your fee.
If a student must cancel a full class (the entire class session – 6, 8, 10, or 11 weeks), they may receive a credit for a future class only if they notify The Barrow Group by email at [email protected], at least ONE week before the first day of the registered class. No credit will be given once a class starts. Class credits are good for one year.
