Stephen Kurpis

Stephen is a freelance audio engineer and producer who's music work has appeared on boutique classical music labels, Spin, the TriBeCa Film Festival (by way of the NYT) and Motherboard. In addition to music, he carved a niche for himself as a swiss army knife engineer by recording the voice-overs for Nick Jr. shows, audio post mixing for independent music videos, recording audio books for Simon & Schuster, and sound design for independent video games. His term as an Assistant Operations Manager of Dubway Studios consisted of the maintenance of a multi-room audio post and music facility, management of client relations, along with the training and education of staff and interns. His career passion project is his personally hand-crafted binaural microphone, dubbed Ramses the Great, which he hauls around to unique acoustic environments to capture immersive live performances
