Roots Knitting Academy is a women-owned and operated school founded by Brianna and Natalie, who have 17 years of friendship and 10 years of teaching experience. They aim to make knit and crochet learning more accessible and effective, especially during the global pandemic, and have been spreading their knowledge since January 2022.
Women-owned and operated, Roots Knitting Academy founders, Brianna & Natalie, met at age 8 while attending a children’s knitting event at their local knitting shop! 17 years of friendship and 10 years of teaching experience later, they decided to take their knitting journey to the next step! Seeing a need in the fiber arts community for more accessible and effective learning of knit and crochet in the midst a global pandemic, two life-long friends came together to spread their knowledge of their craft. Roots was founded in January of 2022 and hopes to continue to spread for years to come.
