Many thousands of California K-12 students take standardized exams in order to progress through their musical studies. There are two main systems: Exam Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and Music Teachers National Association (CM). This course will provide instruction in both systems.
Students will acquire knowledge and skills to successfully complete a series of theory examinations and gain general music theory knowledge. They will complete individualized and group assignments developed by the instructor and interact in group activities.
This course is not a one-time seminar but rather a repeatable course to be offered on a regular basis.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
