My son said he liked the class and enjoyed the project. However, the instructor was out 6 of the 10 sessions (as was the case for another course) and I saw no work product at the end of the course. What did he do for 20 hrs? It was my understanding that he was working with another student and that the work was developed using the camera from a simple (or 'dumb') phone. The other student was tasked of assembling the short film, but the work was never shared and I'm not even sure it was submitted to the instructor. This course could have been better planned in terms of equipment/ materials and expectations outlined so that a parent is able to engage with the child and determine if the enrichment objective had been met. This is 0 for 2 for both CourseHorse and El Camino Community Education. I am very disappointed.

The instructor was gone for 6 nonconsecutive days out of 10 sessions. The substitute could not teach the subject matter. The product my son produced certainly did not meet my expectations. Caveat...the institution for which this course was offered has promised a refund.
