Karla Risdon-Nugent

Teaches at New York Botanical Garden

After earning her B.S., Karla Risdon-Nugent went on to earn her M.A. and spent the following 22 years educating people of all ages about the natural world. She co-led birding eco tours in the U.S. and Canada while working for New Jersey Audubon, and recently became a Master Gardener after completing a landscape design class through Rutgers. 

Karla currently combines her passion for education and her love of plants working at a garden center and nursery.
